Osseointegrated implants help people dissatisfied with lower dentures
Implants increase stability enough to make lowers secure even with no ridge
Titanium studs, attached to 2 implants in the lower eye tooth areas, prevent lower dentures from moving and support them during biting and chewing
Both new and existing dentures can be anchored
For even more stability, another implant and stud can be added in the middle or 2 implants can be added in the lower molar areas.

 Upper dentures
On the upper jaw, stability can be increased the same way, with 2 implants in the eye tooth areas.
Denture wearers who dislike plastic across the roofs of their mouths can have 2 more implants further back to create enough stability so no plastic palate is needed. Speech, taste and stability improve.

 Implant anchorage benefits
Freedom from pain and worry
Freedom to eat a complete diet, chew well and taste foods and beverages
Freedom from clicking, rubbing and looseness
Freedom from adhesives and liners
Improved quality of life. People have more control over their lives when they can eat, talk and smile knowing that their teeth will not let them down

 Implants immediately
People who have lower teeth that must be removed may get implants at the same time their teeth are extracted
We extract teeth and provide implants at the same time for people wearing lower partial dentures and overdentures as well as those not wearing any lower denture

 Other options
People may have their own dentists or denturists modify their dentures or provide new ones after their implants and studs are in place
Besides stabilizing removable dentures, implants can anchor fixed replacements for single and multiple missing teeth

 Timing
Our patients' wait between surgery and changing to an implant-anchored denture is about half the conventional 6 months
2 months normally elapse between surgery and starting implant-anchorage for a lower denture
4 months normally elapse between surgery and starting implant-anchorage for an upper denture

 Follow-up care
An important part of our service to patients with implant-anchored dentures is examining them regularly to ensure that implants and dentures are serving well and that patients are caring for them effectively.
These examinations are arranged every 3 months during the first year and once a year after that
The first year’s follow-up examinations are free to implant-anchored denture patients
