Minimal access surgery
 |
During surgery, we make minimal-access
incisions planned in advance with examination and x-rays, models of patients’
jaws and CT scans. |
 |
The position and angulation of each implant are
controlled during insertion to make them appropriate to the prosthetic
teeth that will be attached. |
 |
The gum is carefully pressed and sutured in place
and a moist gauze pad is used to allow the patient to apply light pressure
immediately so that healing can occur with a minimum of inflammation. |
 |
Operations to insert 1 to 8 implants take from 1 to 3 hours. |
