Both topical anaesthesia and regional anaesthesia

Topical anaesthesia is very popular because no
needle is required: it is painted on the gums |

Once topical anaesthesia produces surface numbness,
we establish regional anaesthesia by gently injecting freezing into the

The freezing gradually wears off after the surgery
during the time people maintain pressure on the gums over their implanted
